SSH login doesn't really log into remote computer

Asked by

Well, this might be because I’m a bit retarded, but I just figured this out. If I connect to a remote computer through SSH, and it prompts me for username and password, I can run programs on the computer.

However, if I have a screen connected to the remote computer, I don’t seem to be logged in.

What I need is that when I connect with SSH, I should really see that I’m logged in on the remote computer. I sort of need to “push” my login input to the remote computer so that the remote computer gets past the login screen.

Is this possible and if so, how can it be done?

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the question. What command are you typing, what is the output or result of that, and what output/result were you expecting?
