Hi all. I am not new to Linux but have not had a Linux distribution loaded in 5 years or so.
I have 2-1T drives and I wish to put Win7 on one drive and Debian on the other. In the past, I have always had linux and windows on the same drive. Since I do not wish to configure the two drives as a RAID0 (just had a horrible experience with that) I think that putting them on separate drives is the best choice.
Which operating System should I load first?
How should I configure the boot loader? I would assume that Grub would have to be configured to find either disk.
Thank You
Tom
First install win7, then Debian. Windows should be on the 1st drive, Debian on the second and GRUB installed on the MBR of the 1st disk. It should automatically detect your win partition and create an entry for it. Set up your BIOS to boot off the 1st drive and there ya go.
Great answer but please use answers instead of comments to answer ;–)
