Double login with virtual monitor for remote desktop administration

Asked by

Hi.

I’m newbie to debian (and all the unix systems), so sorry if this question is lame. If you’re tired of boring details, just skip to the bold.
I want to build up a guest computer that will serve as a windows guest work- and videostation connected to the TV (running standard user with windows as virtual machine) and small ftp/http server (just for some of my projects or getting some personal files from anywhere – there shouldn’t be any high load).
I want to put virtual machine under separate user with some autostart magic (so not-so-nerdy users will only have to login and wait) and perform all the administration from vncviewer without interfering with the main screen, so, as i see it, i need to have a system with one real monitor and one virtual, each having separate user desktop on it. If this is possible, how can i achieve this?
SSH isn’t a solution just because of my experience.

Current videocard is shown as nVidia NV44 (GeForce 6200 TurboCache) if this matters, but i’ll replace it with Radeon HD4850 as soon as i upgrade my main computer. Also fast googling told me that this card does support dual head.
